Emergency Assistance

My daughter was born premature at 24 weeks in Danville, which is 2 hours away. I as a single parent wasn't working due to being at the NICU with my daughter most of the time. Interfaith helped me get to and from seeing my daughter with gas cards. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have been able to go see my daughter several times due to having to come home and not having the gas to get back up there!"

It’s been a difficult year for a lot of us who were flooded and lost our homes. I never expected to lose my home and have my property devastated. Never. And at first, I didn’t know where to turn, I was just lost at the site of the devastation. And knowing that Interfaith was here for me, it helped a lot.

For someone who has suddenly lost their only source of income, Interfaith has stepped in and assisted in paying rent/mortgage. For someone who was unprepared for their new home’s winter heating costs, or during an especially cold winter, Interfaith has been able to donate funds for emergency fuel delivery or prevent shut off of one’s electricity.
